Brinkburn Music Festival
2 - 4 and 9 - 11 July 2010
News update 7.30am Saturday 10th July
As most of you will have heard the situation in Rothbury is now resolved.
The festival is continuing as normal.
Unfortunately Chethams choir has pulled out of Sunday's performance of The Messiah. The brilliant Tees Valley Choir will however still be with us and we look forward to a rousing finale to the festival.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
It will not be possible to contact the Brinkburn Office during the weekend because all staff will be on-site at Brinkburn Priory. If you have specific queries you can contact the Priory on 01665 570 628.
If you haven't been to Brinkburn Music Festival yet, we hope that this
site will give you a flavour of the festival
and what we have to offer. Our festival of classical music is held at
Brinkburn Priory in the heart of Northumberland
for two weekends in July each year when we are privileged to welcome festival
goers from across the UK, Europe and beyond.
Many of our long distance visitors are festival regulars. Some make the
trip for a single concert, many more make an occasion of it by taking
the opportunity between the two weekends to spend time exploring the beauty
and history of Northumberland. There is much to see, a host of welcoming
places to stay and splendid music to enjoy.
You will find us a friendly and welcoming festival. We are small enough
to care - and we take pride in going the extra mile to make your visit
enjoyable - but we're big enough to attract internationally acclaimed
musicians to our stage.
We look forward to welcoming old friends back to Brinkburn Music Festival
this summer, and to meeting some new ones.
