The festival is delighted to welcome back this wonderful tenor, this year with Roger Vignoles, in a song recital centred around Schumann's best-known song cycle .

Join members of the Carducci Quartet as they offer advice and encouragement to some talented young string players from the region. The Brinkburn masterclasses always provide a fascinating insight into the world of professional musicians.

Britten - 3 Cello Suites Op. 72, 80 and 87

We're delighted to welcome back this renowned Dutch cellist following his Brinkburn debut in 2008. Pieter will play all three of Britten's sublime suites for solo cello, inspired by Bach and the great cellist Rostropovich.

Handel – Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno (The Triumph of Time and Truth)

The Gabrielis perform a little known masterpiece from Handel's early period in Rome. The story is an allegory of the triumph of celestial pleasures over temporal ones: Handel responds with some of his most energetic, colourful and ravishing scores

This award winning young harpsichordist from Iran is one of this year’s BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists, and is quickly gaining an international reputation. This should be a perfect pre-lunch musical aperitif, and will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
